Patrick

Health and Wellness Advisor for Nádúr
BSc

Patrick has spent the last 20 years at the centre of health and wellness in the education sector; teaching, coaching, and consulting with a range of sporting clubs, organisations, and national governing bodies within Sport in Ireland. His background is in exercise and health with county/provincial and national representation on various sporting squads in Ireland.

He has had coaching roles at international collegiate level with various squads within the Football Association of Ireland and Senior Clubs within the Gaelic Athletic Association. Curriculum design and Course Director roles have given Patrick the opportunity to devise modules which have been included in Sports Courses within Further Education institutes across Ireland.

Patrick has always been an overwhelming advocate for exercise in the outdoors boosting the immune system as a method of suppressing infection, reducing stress/inflammation, and improving cognitive and mental health. He is a strong advocate for the biopsychosocial model of wellness – understanding physical activity is only a sub-component within this model and consistently endeavors to raise awareness of the health risks of inactivity.
